Should be a literary classic!

My husband's grandmother gave this book to me and I hesitated to read it. But when I did, I was drawn into the house. Starting with the second book of the series rather than the first actually made me into one of the characters of the book because I was new to the house. The house knew secrets that I thought would somehow be revealed to the occupants over time, but the house was silent. Each generation lived, echoing the generations before but never knowing the root of all they did. The story goes on just as life. A person is born. And the end of their story is that they die. And the world goes on. Each chapter is the story of an individual who comes to the house and becomes a part of its history, told in the first person. You love some characters and you hate others. And the house sees all and is silent. The end of the book you find, is just the end of another life. And you realize that the world continues and other stories will go onward. Reading The Town House, you realize that the stories in The House at Old Vine are going full circle in this tragic and comic thing we call life. Justice is not always found. Secrets are not always told. And the world lives with those results. You'll feel a part of these people's lives and realize that, even centuries ago, humans are just as human as you and I. And humans will go onward. My offspring will have offspring who will have offspring and my life will be forgotten, but the consequences of my life will likely follow themselves to the next generation.

I love this book.

I read this book when I was a young teenager and loved it. I have thought about it over the years with affection. When I got the chance to order it I did, and it's still a great book. I love the stories of the lives and the years through the common thread of The Old Vine. It's Norah Lofts at her best.

I would give ten stars if I could!

I first read this book about fifty years ago. I bought it several times, loaning it to friends and then replacing it when it was never returned. About thirty years ago I ordered it and the other two books in the Suffolk House trilogy in library binding because I knew I could not bear to be without them. I am so happy to be able to add them now to my Kindle library! They are old, dear friends who are always with me.

Personally, I think Norah Lofts, more than any other author of historical fiction, has the knack of bring the past right into your kitchen table. I enjoy Ken Follett's books, and Edward Rutherford's books, but I think Norah Lofts' works surpass them. She has been underrated for years and I'm so delighted to see her work being rediscovered. Thank you for bringing them to us in digital format!

AMAZING BOOK!!!!!

Could not put this book down!!!! Finished in less than 4 hours!! Waiting for part 2!! This book showed What a man will do just to be with someone he is infatuated with. It let you see that those who are closest to you will hurt you the most. You feel as if you knew the characters personally. It has so much that a woman struggling can relate to. B. Moore has showed her true talent as a writer. Let me just say the ending will BLOW YOUR MIND AWAY!!!

Few words from a sailor.. about an awesome story.

I haven't finished reading Wolfsong yet, on account of that it arrived today, but I can easily say that within the first chapter I've been hooked!

Lets start at the top, with the writing style.

L. T. Bradley's ability to write is superb, rivalling that of J.R.R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis(Oh yes fanboys, I went there) She gives detail where it is due, and leaves enough to the imagination. Her ability to create characters is strong, they're all very diverse, but have enough to keep them in common with the story AND each other (Important in my eyes!) And location... picking a not-so-small town out in-the-middle-of-nowhere California was a great choice.

Now on to the book itself

Wolfsong starts out with a very dark, and easy to put to mind beginning, building suspense, and then slowly allowing it to drop back to normal. A few of the events foreshadow others. The Characters interract and seem to know each other(Which makes me hope theres a prequel somewhere later on!)

Note to the author:

Please.. for the love of all that is holy... don't stop writing! you're talented and ambitious! As I read your novel I can literally (and figuratively) see how the gears were turning in your head. Keep it up!!

Great Read - hard to put down!

I love supernatural stories and this one delivered. I enjoyed reading about a heroine that isn't a wimp! Zoe rocks! The characters are solid and well thought out. You can tell the writer carefully crafted this novel. It reminds me of the TV series Supernatural. I am a big fan of Supernatural so I'm giving a HUGE compliment here!

This is an exciting and fun read. I enjoyed it and I can say that I'm becoming a fan of L. T. Bradley. I'll definitely be checking out more books written by her.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the formatting issues. I purchased the Kindle edition and there are a lot of areas that words do not have spaces between them. Also some pages are not formatted correctly. Just needs a bit more proofing is all.

She gets caught!

This is a MFM short story. The kingpin has become obsessed with the heroine who is a reporter. He is following her as much as she is following him. The other male in the menage is the "bought" cop. There are some intense forced sex scenes, where the heroine is guaranteed pleasure even when she is saying "No". There is a interesting twist to the story before the end, so stick with it. You won't be sorry.

I highly recommend for lovers of forced sex and menagerie.

Mobsters, Cops and Reporters, oh my!

This was a super hot short read. Jessica is a reporter trying to expose the Russian Kingpin, Alexi. He enlists Jackson, a crooked cop who works for him to bring Jessica to him. They plan to show her exactly why she should stop looking into Alexi's affairs. The sex (note there is some dubious consent) was super hot, the dialogue was off the charts hot (sometimes short smutty reads can have really over the top silly dirty talk, but Aaron knowns how to write it perfectly), the characters were interesting and there was even a plot with a real cool twist at the end. I recommend this if you're looking for something short and really hot.

I really enjoyed this short story from this author. First time author for me that I found on KU. I just wanted so much more....lol....it left me craving more works from her. I'm going to move on to her next short story. I'm hoping to read more form her and hoping her stories get a little longer as I do love a good smut story but I also love the romance aspect of stories too.
